How to Report a Bug or Player in Quickland

Keeping Quickland safe and fun is everyone’s responsibility. If you find a bug, see someone cheating, or experience toxic behavior, reporting it is essential. In this guide, we explain how to create effective reports that staff can resolve quickly.

When Should I Report?

Reporting a Player

You should report a player when:

  • They use hacks: Fly hack, speed hack, kill aura, x-ray, excessive auto-clicker, or any modification that gives unfair advantages.
  • They grief: Destroying or modifying other players’ property without permission (in unprotected areas).
  • They scam: Deceiving other players in trades or sales.
  • Harassment: Constant insults, threats, discrimination, or repetitive toxic behavior.
  • Spam: Mass messaging, advertising other servers, or flooding the chat.
  • Item duplication: Using exploits to duplicate items, money, or resources.
  • Ban evasion: Using alt accounts to avoid a sanction.

Reporting a Bug

You should report a bug when:

  • You lose items: A glitch causes you to lose your inventory, chest items, or gear.
  • Unexpected behavior: A plugin, command, or mechanic does not work as it should.
  • Exploits: You discover a way to duplicate items, get infinite money, or bypass protections.
  • Performance errors: Extreme lag, crashes, or constant disconnections in a specific zone.
  • Severe visual errors: Graphical glitches that affect gameplay.

How to Report via Discord

Discord is the primary platform for reports in Quickland. The process is simple and organized:

Step 1: Access the Tickets Channel

On our Discord server, look for the support category and the ticket creation channel. Click on the corresponding button or emoji to create a new ticket.

Step 2: Select the Report Type

The system will ask you to select the type of report:

  • Player report (hacks, harassment, scams).
  • Bug report (technical errors, glitches).
  • General support (questions, issues with your account).

Step 3: Provide the Information

For a player report, include:

  • Player name: The exact username on the server.
  • Date and time: When the incident occurred.
  • Detailed description: What the player did and why it violates the rules.
  • Evidence: Screenshots, videos, or chat logs. Evidence is crucial — without it, the staff cannot take action.

For a bug report, include:

  • Bug description: What exactly happened.
  • Steps to reproduce: How developers can replicate the error.
  • Minecraft version: Which version you were using (Java/Bedrock and version number).
  • Screenshots/Video: Visual evidence of the problem.
  • Location: Coordinates or area where it occurred, if relevant.

Step 4: Wait for the Response

Staff will review your report as soon as possible. Response times vary depending on the severity of the case and the team’s availability, but we strive to respond within a few hours.

Tips for an Effective Report

Be Specific

Instead of saying “a player was cheating”, say: “Player ‘ExactName’ was flying without elytras at coordinates X:100, Y:64, Z:-200 on June 15 at 18:30 Mexico time.”

Evidence is Key

A report without evidence is very difficult to process. Here are some tips for capturing good evidence:

  • Videos: They are the best evidence. A 30-second video showing the hack or behavior is worth a thousand words. Use software like OBS (free) to record.
  • Screenshots: Useful for chat evidence (insults, scams, spam). Make sure the player’s name is visible.
  • Chat logs: Copy and paste relevant chat messages if you cannot capture the screen.

Do Not Confront the Violator

If you see someone cheating or violating the rules:

  1. Do not confront them in chat — this alerts them and they can hide the evidence.
  2. Record or capture screenshots discretely.
  3. Report to staff via Discord.
  4. Walk away if it is a case of harassment to protect yourself.

Report Exploits Privately

If you discover an exploit (way to duplicate items, get infinite money, etc.), DO NOT share it publicly. Report directly to staff in a private ticket. Sharing exploits can result in sanctions for you too.

What Happens After the Report?

Investigation

Staff reviews the provided evidence and may conduct additional investigations using server tools like logs of actions, inventories, and movements.

Resolution

Depending on the severity and circumstances:

InfractionTypical Sanction
Spam / Flood in chatTemporary mute
Mild insultsWarning + temporary mute
Severe harassment / discriminationTemporary or permanent ban
Hacks (first time)Temporary ban
Hacks (repeat offense)Permanent ban
ScamsRollback + temporary ban
Item duplicationRemoval of items + ban
Ban evasionPermanent ban on all accounts

Feedback

Staff will inform you of the resolution of your report through the Discord ticket. If you do not agree with the resolution, you can escalate the case to the administration.

Report Responsibly

A few final important notes:

  • Do not make false reports: Falsely reporting players is sanctionable. Only report when you have real evidence of an infraction.
  • Do not use the report system for personal disputes: If you have a conflict with another player that does not involve rule-breaking, try resolving it by talking first.
  • Be patient: Staff are volunteers doing their best. Give the process time.
  • Thank the staff: A simple “thank you” when they resolve your case motivates the team to keep working hard for the community.

Your active participation in reporting issues is what keeps Quickland clean and fair. Thank you for contributing to a better community!
