Ultimate Slimefun Guide on Quickland: How to Get Started

Guides Slimefun Survival

Introduction to Slimefun on Quickland

Slimefun is one of the most popular plugins in the Minecraft community, designed to transform the survival experience by adding elements similar to technical mods (like IndustrialCraft or BuildCraft), but without the need for players to install anything on their clients!

In Quickland, we have integrated Slimefun into our Survival server, allowing you to enjoy it whether you play on the classic version (1.12.2) or connect from more modern versions (like 26.1.2). This means you can take advantage of hundreds of new items, armor, weapons, tools, and complex machines regardless of your favorite version. If you ever got bored of traditional Survival, this is the time to take your game to the next level.

How to get the Slimefun manual?

The first thing you need to start your technological and magical adventure is the official in-game plugin guide. Fortunately, in Quickland we have made it very easy to get.

  1. When entering the Survival server, open your inventory and look for the item named “Slimefun Guide”.
  2. If for some reason you have lost it, don’t worry. You can get it back by using the /sf guide command in chat.
  3. This magical book is your passport to hundreds of recipes. When you open it, you will see different categories such as “Magical Weapons”, “Basic Components”, “Resources”, etc.

Your first creation: The Enhanced Crafting Table

Slimefun works through “Multiblocks”. This means you won’t use a normal crafting table to make Slimefun items, but you must build specific structures in the world using normal Minecraft blocks.

The most basic machine and the first one you should build is the Enhanced Crafting Table:

  1. Place a normal crafting table on the ground.
  2. On top of it, place a Dispenser facing up.
  3. Congratulations! You have your first machine. To use it, place the materials inside the dispenser forming the recipe and then right-click on the crafting table with an empty hand.

Research System

You will notice that in the Slimefun guide most of the items are locked (they appear with a red padlock). To be able to craft them, you must first research them using your Minecraft Experience (XP).

We recommend starting by building a basic mob farm or mining coal to get quick levels and unlock the “Basic Machines” category. These machines, such as the automatic smelter (Smeltery) or the grindstone (Grindstone), will save you a lot of time in your next creations.

What exactly does Slimefun add?

To give you an idea of the magnitude of this plugin, it includes features worthy of the best technical and magical modpacks:

  • Backpacks: To expand your inventory and carry all your resources on your expeditions.
  • Jetpacks and Gadgets: Soar through the skies of Quickland with Jetpacks, or use multi-purpose tools powered by energy.
  • Reactors and Energy: Build power grids, nuclear reactors, solar panels, and generators to power your automated factories.
  • Magic and Alchemy: Advanced enchanting tables, magic wands, talismans, and mystical rituals.
  • Advanced Agriculture: Automated crops, new types of food, and fruit trees.

Final Tips for Quickland Players

  • Protect your machinery: In Quickland you can claim land to protect your bases. Make sure to place your Slimefun machines inside your claims to prevent other players from stealing them.
  • Collaborate with others: The most advanced branch of Slimefun requires a lot of energy and resources. Join a Clan and divide the work. While some mine, others can research the technology.
  • Version Compatibility: We have great news! Now you can fully enjoy Slimefun in Quickland by connecting from both version 1.12.2 and modern versions (like 26.1.2). Our team has worked hard to ensure that all menus, guides, and machines work perfectly regardless of which Minecraft version you prefer to use.

We hope this guide is very useful to start your industrial and magical empire in our Survival! See you on the server.
